Beer?

Everyone loves beer.  Well, okay, not everyone, but most everyone.  This weekend Roanoke is hosting Microfestivus the annual beer festival.  Since the hubs LOVES beer (almost as much as he loves me) we plan on going.  Everyone in the Roanoke area should definitely check it out.  We went last year and loved it.  There is a great grassy area to sit and joy your beer and some great music.  Hope to see some of you out there!

Day 22 – I love to sew.  This past weekend I sewed a cot sheet for C’s school, a pillowcase and hemmed some of M’s pants.  The hemming actually made me nervous because it was the first pair of “real” pants I had shortened.  I had some that I practiced shortening and I practiced on scrap material and I even repaired some hems but these were new pants that needed it.  Thankfully they turned out great minus a few cuts and scraps from my rotary blade.  OUCH!

 

Day 23 – I like when friends come visit.  Tuesday M had a meeting and friend P came over to visit.  I hadn’t been in the best mood, no particular reason, just wasn’t my normal happy self.  She let me be me and didn’t poke and prod, she just let me be me and that’s what I needed.  Love my friend visits happy, sad, or neither.

 

Day 24 – Well it is Friday and who doesn’t love Friday, right.  Today I am loving a night out with the hubby and a few of our friends.  We are headed to the Club for Beef, Bourbon and Scotch.  Now, I don’t much care for the Bourbon unless I can have soda with it, but M says that it is criminal to do so I don’t and I have never tasted Scotch before.  Therefore, I will be enjoying the “Beef” part of the evening.

Love – Day 17

I love FRIDAYS!!! But then again who doesn’t love Friday?!?! It is the best day of the week since it is the first day/night of the weekend.

This Friday is especially great since we great things going on this weekend.  It all starts with dinner with two of our friends that are expecting their very first bundle of joy!  We couldn’t be more excited to hang out with them!

Saturday is going to be a great day as well because I finally get mine and Colin’s hair cut!!! It has been entirely too long.  Not to mention that my eyebrows are out of control and need a good waxing!  All this works out perfectly since the BF will be watching little C so the hubs and I can go out for a real date.  Ya know the ones where we get to get all dressed up and get to go out for drinks and dinner all alone.  Just the two of us!!!  Ah!!! Now, I just need to figure out which pretty frock I will be pulling out of my closet.

Sunday Mr. C has a birthday party to go to.  He is extremely excited as he loves birthday parties and the CAKE that comes with them!!!

With all that being said this girl here LOVES FRIDAY!!!! and all the great things that come after Friday!
