He Finally Met Santa

Last night we attended the YBR Christmas party.  Colin was so excited.  Some of his friends from class were there and they had juice boxes (which he never gets at home)!  He was in heaven.  He played and played until it was time to eat in which he had to show mom that he was a big boy.  There was no need to share a plate, for him to sit on my lap or much less the chair next to me.  I being the clingy mother I am sometimes forget that, but he is quick to remind me.

While we were finishing up dinner listening to the kids laugh and play a strong silence entered the room….for about 3 seconds until all the kids were screaming with joy that Santa had entered the building.  Santa barely got to sit down from the children crawling on him.  They were so excited.  I am not sure I have ever seen that much excitement before in my life!

Colin of course sat on Santa’s lap and asked him to PLEASE bring him a “Thomas Table” and kept asking why it wasn’t in his bag, but was pleased with the answer that it wasn’t time for all of our Christmas presents yet.  That we have to wait for Christmas day and that tonight was just a visit so he would know exactly he wanted Santa’s elves to make him.

In the mean time Santa brought him the truck below and Colin was more than pleased with it as he raced his friends with their trucks for the rest of the night.  Thank you YBR for an amazing night!Image
